The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. I am a huge fan of King, but this was not one of his best.

Also, Web of Evil by J.A. Jance -- very entertaining, although not entirely believable at certain points -- specifically the character April Gaddis was a stretch

Just read "The places in between" by Rory Stewart - he walked alone through Afghanistan. Quite a read. A very brave man in my book.

And now reading "the inheritance of loss" by Hiran Desai. Bit slow in bits, but slowly captivating me.

Dragon Sword and Wind Child by Noriko Ogiwara. Started off a little slow, but I couldn't put it down as it neared the conclusion.

Naruto: Mission: Protect Waterfall Village! - Er, had to write a review of it, but ended up enjoying it in spite of myself. Read like a comic book without pics, so it was fast paced and required almost no thought processes to absorb.

Yay finally finished all the Harry Potter books and managed to avoid spoilers too much about the end of the 7th. All in all a bit of a marathon but enjoyed it and it has got me back into reading again which was the aim - I've got out of the habit of reading just for pleasure and it was always some work related book.

I just finished Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk by Legs McNeil (compiled by? It's all quotes from musicians, artists, managers and groupies). I had to read it for research but couldn't put it down. Hilarious and appalling.

I also just finished Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction by Sue Townsend. It was so funny that it made me want to go back and read the whole series again.

Just finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (4th book). I got the entire 7 books for my birthday and have been plodding through them since then, looks like my estimate of not finishing this side of Christmas was off a fair bit as about 3rd through the 5th in 2 days. I put off reading from book 3 as always wanted to do the entire series in one block. I had got out of reading for a while but this is getting me back into not just reading 'work' books. I have a big pile of books lined up after this and I've started dedicating 1-2hrs of an evening to reading. It's nice to take time out at the end of the day.

"Good Omens", by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. A very good and funny book about the apocalypse. It is written from the view point of both heaven and hell.

I'm not really reading one book but every article from every magazine I've marked as 'important to save' for the past two years. See, I read with a scissors and yellow high lighter. I cut out pictures of design, gardening, crafts etc. and put them in a photo book that has a theme or pattern. OK. It's a little obvious that I'm not at work.
