If you still aren't on the Social Bookmarking bandwagon yet, here is your chance to do some competitive analysis with Wired. They take a look at:

It seems Ma.gnolia wins with an 8/10 ranking. I don't use any of them, but you might find your favorite in this list so have a look.

I started using Ma.gnolia when it was first released, and never really got into it. It seemed like a process just to login and bookmark something, so I stopped using it.

This summer I signed up for Del.icio.us and I love it, and found a firefox extension that quickly bookmarks sites by a simple (shift+cmd+/). So I've stuck with that.

Haven't tried any of the other ones.

Yeah, I am getting that impression with a couple of people with regards to Ma.gnolia. At least its pretty.

Ha, that's what made me try it!

First, Gaaa! those split domains. They are a pain to remember, although Ma.gnolia is better than Del.icio.us.

PopUrls makes it easier for me to see what people are talking about, skipping the need for the other services individually.

Don't see myself using those services. I don't even miss them.

In all honesty, I just browse around and tend to find stuff and if I'm missing content by not using these sites I have to remind myself there is only so much time in the day. Besides, Mike and Tyme send me enough links to keep me busy anyways. Probably need to go register run.dlicio.us or ty.meolia.com

I like the PopUrls site too. I go there a couple times a day, and saves me alot of time that I would otherwise spend scouring through Newsvine, Digg, etc.

When it comes to social bookmarking, I prefer Diigo ;-). Otherwise, it's del.icio.us for it's simplicity (which Diigo can automatically bookmark to, btw).

Yeah, thats what you need Scrivs- more domains.

To be honest, I never really got into it when everybody else did.

I use del.icio.us now, but probably not for the reasons I should. I mostly just use it to store bookmarks I want to remember but that I won't be needing for a while so they don't totally clog up my machine. I like to just have my important bookmarks in Safari. When there's too many, it defeats the purpose because you still have a lot to sift through.

I don't really use any of the "social" features... although sometimes it's interesting to at least see the number of people who have bookmarked the same thing.

I was talking to people last night and they said something I found funny (we were talking about social bookmarking).

Why would I care what strangers think? 100 people are talking about something, it's COOL now!

Couldn't help but laugh at that one. They hate it when they are reading a blog and the bookmark links hit them. No interest in those at all.

I like Furl the best because it recommends other links to you based on what you've already bookmarked. Unfortunately, they don't have a big audience, so there's not enough data to work with.

I do like Ma.gnolia. Super clean and clear interface. I like the fact that they have communities that people contribute links to, which is moderated by the group leader. It makes it a great resource for finding new links.

To me, a social bookmarking service is the most useful if it is based on helping me find new links, versus being the best place to store my own.
