I read a note on here yesterday about someone's theme from Tumblr. I'd never heard of Tumblr before so I headed over to see what the fuss was all about. It's awesome! It's like a little mini-blog thingee. I'm not really sure how to describe it.
I don't know why I'm so enthralled with this thing. It kind of reminds me of Twitter. But it doesn't suck which is nice.
Anyway, who out there is using this service? And, if you're not, why not hop on the bandwagon?

Also, I'm not trying to advertise or anything, I'm just in love with this little thing.

I just recently found tumblr too... Check me out... not much there yet, but it is fun. Nice design. Easy to use. As soon as I get a free minute, I am going to try out the custom template.
So far so good!

i'm a tumblr as well... www.juxtanews.com and already posted two "Hacking Tumblr" posts. One if for adding FeedBurner to your Tumblr account and the other is for adding an HTML contact form to your tumblr via Wufoo. Also wrote a post on Juxtaviews.com about Tumblr title "Tumblr - Bringing Blogging Back".

At first I thought this was the oddest idea in the world but it's a nice place to dump tidbits that you normally wouldn't blog about.

Twitter did nothing for me at all, but I have to admit I really like Tumblr a lot

Hilarious. I just signed up because I knew exactly what you meant. :)
Man. I'm kind of on social web overload right now. I need to step back.

I love tumblr and as my blog isn't really a personal blog use that for a personal outlet. Mine is here.

I'm not sure why, but Tumblr has kinda got me in its grip right now. As I do have a personal blog I'm still working through how best I might use it, but I really love how it presents my tweets from Twitter in an almost-blog like format. It will be perfect in that respect for when I'm traveling and away from my WP dashboard!
I will say however, it seems impervious to my del.icio.us feed and keeps dropping my Flickr feed for no reason. Other than that, and the lack of commenting (grr), I'm loving it as a way of assimilating the tweets and the other random snippets I find through the day.
Tumbleweeds is my imaginatively named Tumblr.

I have one at numblr.nostrich.net (a contraction of nostrich and tumblr. Real creative, huh?) but it rarely gets updated -- not at all since June 19th -- because I keep forgetting about it.
Edit: OK, I added the bookmarklet and everything. Lets see how long it lasts.

I'll Tumblr For Ya. It's probably all del.icio.us links at this point though.

Bumping this. I'm tumbling more regularly now (mine is 2 replies up). Anyone else got one since this note?

I tumbl but mostly automagically through RSS feeds. Rarely do I post directly to by tumblog (sp?).

Yeah, why not. Mine's called Revista.
I'm already subscribed to most of yours here.
Anyone have a soup.io one? Mine's My Soup but it's just a life stream of everything else (i.e. Open Source, my Natuba life stream).
I'm crazy.

@techmalaya That's kind of odd. I use my del.icio.us network and my Google shared items for that.
Then again, no one actually reads those, I guess, so putting them on a tumblelog makes sense.
If only Tumblr would just incorporate search (without having to add whatever code).

Tumblr 3 just came out on November 1, there was quite a lot of anticipation over it but personally I'm not really impressed with the new update. They didn't introduce their planned alternative to regular blog commenting which had really intrigued me from the start. I do enjoy the medium tremendously though, and it's picking up in a big way seeing as how Tumblr got a fresh injection of some VC cash not long ago.
There's still no search or commenting (they're recommending Disqus) built in, so I'm sticking to my ported Wordpress theme for the moment.

I've been using tumblr for a while over at espresso. Before I had a mini update / post / link section on my blog now I just use tumblr for it. I'm totally addicted and during the hectic past few months it's given me my blogging fix when I simply didn't have time for a full post.
