13 CommentsThis might be a complete disaster due to how greedy we are as humans, but I'm going to give it a shot. There are a ton of domain names that we have to come up with in the near future and as you know it isn't easy coming up with something memorable and less that 47 characters long. So I thought it would be a nice exercise to list some domain names that you like that aren't registered yet.
If you see one you like in this Note and think you will use it then by all means go for it and when you do use it please share what you are using it for. Otherwise just leave it alone and let someone else get it.
I recently let sixlist.com expire and I always liked that one. I usually try to go after greek names or latin names and then do a variation on them to get somewhere. I also let oreoceo.com go.
You have any good ones to share? And please take the time to at least look up if they are taken before throwing them out there.

You might've well have asked us how long a string is or engaged us in the exercise of applying a brand name to that thing over there that none of us have seen nor experienced.
Here's my question...given that pizza.com was just sold for a couple of million...is there anyway to guage the market value of a domain name alone? Meaning just the domain, not the brand that might've been behind the domain before it went up for sale.

Hey I was just asking for creative domain names, not for a specific site or anything, just to see what people could come up with. A creative exercise.
Yeah you can gauge a market value, if it's a common word then there is a good chance you are going to be rich. If not, then it's going to be about the brand behind it. With that said brandbehindit.com is not taken, but unfortunately behind.com and it.com are.

Why you got something? I think for common words you are always looking at mid-to high six figures at least. Pizza.com is a steal to any of the large pizza chains and keep in mind they keep that domain forever basically. They would own the SEO charts for all eternity.
I like messiful, your daughter gives better suggestions than you. Give her an account.
