So I Bombed Twitter on Friday...

This past Friday I thought I would have some fun and see how this Twitter thing really works. I went almost non-stop Twittering whatever was on my mind, but I always tried to answer the question "what am I doing?" For some people I filled up their entire page with nothing but Scrivs' tweets and I figured I would annoy enough people for them to leave.
I gained 4 more followers.
Don't ask me to explain it because I can't. People told me my tweets were entertaining so maybe that is why they didn't leave so my experiment paid off in that sense. You can tweet all you want as long as it is interesting. Guess the same rule applies to almost anything we do online. I think we get annoyed with the people who Twitter and add no value to our lives.
Overall though I still didn't get much out of my Twitter bomb experience. I wasn't thinking to myself "oh my god I have to go back" or anything like that so I'm sure I'm still missing the big picture. Of course I only follow 3 people so I could easily be missing a ton of great conversations...or not.

Your tweeting(?) was quite humorous.

Thanks JPhill, even when I try to annoy people like everyone else with useless Twitters I couldn't help but try to make the usless a bit humorous.

I had a blast following it all day, and I got some looks in the office a few times when I got a pop up growl alert and literally LOL'd.
Good job on the funny Scrivs. ;)

I wanted to be irritated, but couldn't.

Would you be irritated if he did that every day or would it still be funny? Let's say M-F so it's not every single day lol.
Or if he did it longer than an hour. Off and on all day long.

if he did it all day every day I think it would be funny for about a day and then I'd unfollow his feed and only talk to him in chat and forums like I do now.
I cut three people out of my twitter feed because they updated every 10 min ALL DAY EVERY DAY... to me, that was insane.

I do the "what are you doing" thing about 70% of the time. Otherwise I'm replying to someone... or drinking.

I totally just unfollowed someone because of a "bomb" but I can't decide if its because they bombed me, or it was all just kinda BS, had to know references, and generally didn't matter. Come to think of it though, not much on twitter does generally.
