I've made a text-editor in JavaScript which is pretty lightweight but very powerful.

It's most useful if you're a fan of typing out long replies to things using lots of xHTML in the process -- like me.

I'm just pushing out the bugs for OSX and Safari but it works perfectly* in the big 3 Windows browsers.

Play with edtBox now!

I've put instructions and explanations of what it does on the right hand side of the page.

I'd love to hear what you think about it and any bugs you're seeing. There are a few "undocumented features" that I've not explained so don't panic if you find things like quotation marks auto-completing themselves =)

*I've had to hack the IE code pretty heavily so there are a few differences in how things work but the effect is just about the same.
