My two Papillions :Chip and Lulu

Haha, I swear he needed it! We had just moved to a new climate, where it was very dusty, and he just wasn't keeping himself clean enough. His entire underside had turned gray from the dust, and I just wasn't having it. I waited about 3 weeks to see if he'd get his toosh in gear & start bathing himself more, but he didn't. So I bathed him. Now he cleans himself all the time. Smart cat.

I can't bathe my cat or I have to end up shaving him.

His hair is so long that if it gets wet I have to brush out mattes like crazy.

Here's Bradbury. We've been roommates now for 20 years. In this photo he's playing with his Hanukah present:

The poor guy just had a stroke, but appears to be recovering. As he's gotten older he's also gotten senile, which in cats translates into kittenish behavior.

He's a very soulful cat, being 1/2 siamese, 1/2 mutt. He stares at you with his blue eyes and gives the silent meow.

The folks at the vet like him so much they've semi-adopted him - when he's there for his now-monthly checkup they call him a 'furry person'. It's very appropriate.

Not to be macabre, I'll miss him a lot when he's gone...

Eleni: Do you know for sure that Dora is a black lab / beagle mix? She looks exactly like my dog Sapphire, and black lab / beagle has been our best guess, but I got her from the local shelter so I'm not sure.

Falgon: We got Dora from a shelter as well so the beagle part is also a guess. But when Dora barks she sometimes howls so I am pretty sure she is part beagle.

Here is my black brindle French Bulldog named Smokey. This little guy definitely has movie-star like qualities. Best pet out by far...sorry folks.

This is Rocket (or Rocky, as I call him), a basenji-flavoured mutt born at the local shelter. I got him at the end of last September at about 9 weeks old, he's 6 months old now and far more trouble than I expected him to be!

He is cute though, and has his own Flickr set :)
