I just got back from my trip to CA and took this photo of Pidgin point light house. My question is do you think i added to much saturation to this photo?
I think the land is fine, but I'd pull a bit out of the sky. however... it really depends what medium you display it in. It looks a bit garish here, but I've got a metallic print with a similar sky in my hallway, and it gets raves.
I think the main thing here with the sky is that the low horizon haze throws off the balance. If it was clear, the saturation might work, but as it is the middle of the photo feels like there's something missing. Pulling the saturation in the sky could probably help balance things out.
Good composition, and nice detail in the coast line.
Besides dropping the saturation some, I would maybe bring it into Photoshop, add a selective color adjustment layer and tweak the blue and cyan channels--bring up the black levels.

Yeah, looks unnatural a bit. Like an HDR photo without the HDR part.
