My favourite photo from 2007

If you look back at the photos you've taken in the last year, which one are you most pleased with - not necessarily the best technically, but just one photo that is a favourite from the year for what ever reason.
Yesterday I went through the photos I'd uploaded to Flickr during 2007 and posted some blog entries about my favourites on a month by month basis (I uploaded about 1300 photos during the year).
Anyway, I think this is my overall favourite. It didn't get much attention when it was uploaded on to Flickr - but my favourite photos aren't always the ones that everyone else seems to like.
This one was taken on Kinder Low in the Peak District, UK. It feels like the ideal place for faking moon landings up there. It's an infrared shot with a trig point visible on the horizon. I have a few photos of trig points - especially infrared ones - I think the thing I like about them is that they look out of place.
So, please post your favourite and tell us a bit about it.

I think my favorite photo from 2007 is this one:
It's a long exposure night shot (244 seconds) that I took out on the Kasota Prairie--one of my favorite places to go at night. I don't know why I like it other than it just felt right when I was taking it.

Anybody else got a favourite photo (or set) from last year?

Mine would probably be this one:
I'm trying to get into concert photography and have just over 40 sets since starting in July. So when I stepped into the hall quick during a concert and got this shot of one of the drummers, I was pretty happy. Something about how it's so candid, but definitely captures the mood and his personality just strikes me.

This is one of my favourites from last year. Nice clouds and waves one morning in Galveston, TX looking out over the Gulf of Mexico.
I was down there for a fishing trip celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. This was taken a bit before 7 AM.
I have a more nicely tweaked copy for printing, but the file is 200 meg and I don't feel like opening photoshop to size down that version :)
Hell, I edited the post and I can't put the image back in.
Here is a link to the file:

One of my favorites from my 2007 collections. Taken late December during a early frost.

Looking back in my December photos...I would say that for December 2007, this is my favorite.
For the overall year, itself, it would be this one.

Lately, I'm a big fan of this one...
My boss gave me a black truffle over the holidays and I'd never had one of my own to play with before. I had no idea they were so fascinating on the inside.

I agree with you Publicenergy, that a lot of times the photos I liked best aren't the ones that get the most attention from others.
Most of my photos are related to my figurine collecting hobby. I'm usually partial to the ones I've taken most recently (probably because of the new toy factor), so here's my favorite from December:
I liked it because the diorama that I made for the picture turned out better than I thought it would, though I wish I'd covered the tree bases with fake snow.

These are great so far - surely there are other Notes users who've taken photos this year? Come on folks - remember it's your favourite photo from the year, for whatever reason, not your best (unless it's the same one!).

I haven't answered because I have too many favorite ones! :) I'll take a look tonight but it will be hard to pick one.

I hadn't uploaded as many pictures as I thought last year :S
This is my 'favourite', not because it's my best, but because of what it represents - a blissful week of sitting on a deserted beach, soaking up the sun, completely chilling, finally getting some writing done, and quite simply having a supreme holiday.
I want to go back...
