It is said that if you are to love others and have others love you, we need to love ourselves first. By respecting, loving and accepting ourselves we create a calm and good energy around us that people relate to. It also helps us enjoy life and to be happy. This is not about being egotistical, but accepting of ourselves and it promotes health and well being.

So what do you love about yourself?
For me, it's my ability to stick with something until I'm successful. I also like my sense of humour....when it comes and my smile... :-)

What's yours?

I love that when it comes down to it. I never fail to be the light in the dark for someone who needs it.

That and realizing I can charm any girl I set my mind at which for a geek is a heaven sent ability.

You have God's gift, Kamigoroshi. :-)

So. far it's that I have not allowed external factors ( partying, relationships, wanderlust ) to distract me from my goals.

Oh, what a great topic. I am currently not loving myself all that much. I just stood up a dear friend -- I mean completely forgot to show up at the place where we were going to meet -- and this on top of having done something sort of similar to her just two weeks earlier is making me doubt my competence, and equanimity, which are two of the things I usually DO like about myself. Perhaps I need to work a little on self-forgiveness, and then I'll be feeling more positive and likeable. Oh, and I have to go and order some flowers and write a really, really sorry note.

I love that I will try basically anything once and I am very open minded.

Then, bloglily, a thing you could love about yourself is that you possess a conscience that could claim responsibility of and own the mistakes you've made so that you could rectify your relationships. :) I've come across many people who would do worse than that (including myself) yet think they're unequivocally faultless or pass the blame off on someone else when confronted (okay not including myself). In essence, you appreciate and value your friendships enough to try to make things right.

A thing I "love" about myself is probably my tenacity and determination when it comes to things I love. I'll be distracted easily from things I consider routine (not something I love) so if I am relentless getting something done that is how I know that I really enjoy what it is I'm working on. I have an ability to think on my feet and have somewhat a talent for being able to read people through limited interaction. Also, I have a knack for being able to bring large groups of people together. :) Increasingly throughout my life, I've become more open-minded as I've been able to gain more perspective.

everything except my ingrown toenails, which cause me a lot of pain every now and then

@NoelKingsley: Some might call it that, but you don't develop that kind of ability until you've worked hard to earn it. Even if that means losing a few screws through the road that few takes. :)

my apathy. most of the time i just don't care. helps me focus on important things and not worry about small stuff.

I love my entire package.

I love that I strive. It is intense, passionate --- and there always.

I love that I am vivacious and driven. I love that I am strategically minded. I love that I have accepted that sometimes really great people may not like me, and that they can still be really great people. Most of all I love that I have learned to live with myself. It makes life a whole lot more fun!

My inability to grow a large amount of facial hair requiring almost no shaving.

I love that I notice the things other people usually don't. Those around me like that trait, too!

Damn you Scrivs!!

I look like some middle eastern terrorist if I don't shave after a few days. My kingdom for a permanent baby face.

I shave my minor mustache about once a week, takes around 10 seconds and my chin hair which I let grow for 3-4 weeks and that takes about 20 seconds.

My inability to grow a large amount of facial hair requiring almost no shaving.

lol, me too.....I love it.

Damn you too JPhill!!

Don't tempt me Scrivs. :(

My inability to grow a large amount of facial hair requiring almost no shaving.

Me too!!

I also have a very nice eye colour that people seem to become mesmerised with, which is nice.

And the fact that I can always muster the strength to be there for whoever needs me.

*sighs* Me too. Stupid neckbeards >_<

Everything! I am a self-made man, and I worship my creator, to paraphrase John Bright.

Outside? My odd gene combination of thick black eyebrows and blonde hair.
Inside? I will fight for it & my ability to cheer up people

I love my never ending narcissism and my dry sarcastic wit.

Video I did that contains some strong language, the reason I won't embed it here.

What I love about myself: my spirit. I don't talk about religion or spirituality often on here, but my faith guides me in everything I do. I try to always approach situations and people with the right attitude and show them what a man of God should be like.

With that said, if we were picking two things, I'd say my enormous junk. Yeah, you know what I'm talkin' bout. ;)

My easygoing nature. Like water off a duck's back, drama rolls into the river and downstream in my life.

My amazing shoe collection.

The fact that so many things crack me up.

Oh, my eyes. They are blue and green and grey and brown. All at once. My children have them. I tell them that when I'm dead and gone I'll still be there, every time they look in the mirror into their own eyes. (*I just re-read this and realized how scary it is! Poor children, they're absolutely stuck with me forever.)

The fact that I am so in love with life and not in the least afraid of dying.

Did I mention my shoe collection?

(Are we allowed to answer this twice? Last time, I was so not loving myself.)

There are some great comments here regarding what we love about ourselves. Thanks for your thoughts.

Muhammad Ali has great insight and a wonderful view, he said, "It's hard to be humble, when you're as great as I am."

I love my never ending narcissism and my dry sarcastic wit.

I love that I can talk to almost anyone whether I know them or not.
