I opened the window by the cat tree, and my cat Patches was immediately there, jumping up on the sill, and then moving to the tree when I stayed to pet. It had rained a little, but by then all that was left was that fresh rain smell, and some nice afternoon sun coming in the window. So I got his favorite kitty brush, and we had at least 15 minutes of unfettered person/kitty bonding bliss. The brush wasn't enough, I had to use the other hand to pet at the same time, he was so demanding. I thought he might purr himself to death! Some days, it's the little things.

My day is just getting started. But I also had a kitteh-related 15 minutes of bliss yesterday, but with my roommate's new kitteh rescue. Is it strange that I found it adorable when he was biting and nibbling and jumping all over my feet before curling up sleeping next to me? (Of course, he woke up again to get back to his hyperactive self.)

Went to the store, came out, saw a bunch of geese. Put my stuff in the car, went back in the store and bought some bread. Sat on the curb, fed the geese and rocked to the music on my iPod.

@estarla--he is adorable!! Great name, too! Wonder if he'll grow into those ears??
@Tyme--isn't it great to do that kind of thing as the mood strikes? I was driving my usual route to work one day (back when I had the "job at an office" kind of thing), and I saw a flock of sheep with babies, and I detoured to go back and park and watch them for awhile. It was the beginning of a great day!
@RightOn, are you sure that will be the best?? Something good might happen at work, you never know!

Usually the best part of the day is when I come home from work and my little mutt says hello, so even if nothing special happens before I get home today, going home will be nice.

The best 15 minutes of my day, both yesterday and today, was when I spoke to my daughter regarding my precious, newborn granddaughter. She was born yesterday at 5:53 a.m. The conversations were joyous.

That kitten is adorable estarla.
My best fifteen minutes was sitting out on what is supposed to be a balcony and looking at the plants I planted -my legs up on the rail and the morning newspaper.
