Because Clique 44's name has a space in it, when I click on it the system inserts a %20 in the space and the system can't find that page.

October and International Breast Cancer Awareness Month is fast approaching. This year, just like last year, we are hoping to get hundreds (or even thousands) of web sites to Go Pink.
The idea behind Going Pink is simple and something that everyone with a web site (especially blogs) can take part in without spending any money.
The hope is that you turn your site pink (in whatever way works for your site), go out to that World Wide Web thing and educate yourself about the multiple issues related to Breast Cancer, then take that newfound knowledge and tell someone else what you've learned.
Changing the way your site looks is pretty easy for most people, but if you can't change your site's look for some reason we have many, many buttons which you can add to your site and link back to Pink for October. There will also be a number of themes available for download. In fact, here's two available right now.
This year, like last, we will be looking for people to write on Pink for October about the different ways Breast Cancer has affected them. In addition we have created a Viddler group so people can upload or record video responses. Those videos will be pulled back to Pink for October as well.
We'll have some other things going on (time willing) and a total redesign is on its way too.

Someone at work asked me "what could be done" to improve an aspect of the web site. I started with answers that were rather detailed, but this person was looking for some "general" thoughts on what to do.
So I said:
1) Reduce errors (both system and user generated)
2) Simplify workflows
3) Simplify decision making on the part of the user
If I had to categorize/summarize the work I do, I'd say most of it fits into at least on of the above.
How do you look at it? What other tenets would you add? How would you finish the sentence, "You can't go wrong if you ______."
I am trying to think of things I can give to non-designer-types (who often end up designing) where I can tell them each design decision they make should be able to be tied back to one of these tenets.

Looks like the designer got one already.
I've seen plenty at Target, and sometimes at grocery stores.
Usually I get them at Sam's Club or Costco so I can get a big package of them.
We use them the same way. Anything exposed usually gets a regular bulb, but looking around I only see one fixture that has regular bulbs and the energy efficient ones just don't "fit." Since it's an apartment, I can't change the fixture. :(

I saw a post on Stammy's site today which led me to 18seconds.org. Seeing that got me thinking of how I could help.
I put a challenge and a request on my site.
Go buy some energy efficient light bulbs and I will reimburse you. I'm only shelling out 50$USD total, but that should buy roughly 12 bulbs.
I am also asking people to join me in offering to reimburse others peoples purchase of energy efficient bulbs. And even if you don't want to shell out money, but you think this is worth while, please spread the word.

When I joked the other day about Dante being a wuss I was referring to these three lines in the first canto.
"How I came there I cannot really tell,
I was so full of sleep

Basically, that sentence kept him from being killed (by "The Church") for what he wrote as he could claim it wasn't his thoughts he was writing, but a dream he had that he was recounting.
Just thought I would throw that little "fact"oid in there.

Our 10 year wedding anniversary is in January. As of April 2007 we will have been together for 14 years.
I use an aStore solely for user experience-related books. I only put books in the list that I know something about. So far it works as well as I can expect: it provides a small amount of income and it only took me 10 minutes or so to set it up.
I wouldn't use it to sell random shit. Just stuff I think is worthwhile and related to why my readers might be coming to my site already.
