Blogblast for Peace 4th June - Join the revolution

Blogging Community — Posted: May. 21, 2008

Blog your own peace globe & message! The Peace Globe project began in 2006 with a simple post from one blog. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog across the globe until it reached 35 countries and 46 states. BlogBlast for Peace is a semi-annual blog event started by Mimi Lenox.

» Can Male-Female Friendships Last?  ...  Last Reply: 7 months ago by lifecruiser.

I don't think it should be influenced, but I've heard a lot of friends having problems with it unfortunately.

For myself, I've always liked better to hang out with the guys. Somehow I seem to fit better among them...

But really, it should all depend on who you are (and no jealousy!) and what interests you have that's brings you together as PERSONS. Despite the sex.

I had many male friends in my youth, for many years and it worked well with most of them, but of course, that was before we al got serious relationships....

Cataratas del Iguazú in Iguazú National Park, from the Brazil side, South America,
situated on the border of Brazil and Argentina and has 275 waterfalls in an 3 km long halfmoon. All the waterfalls are in Argentine territory and reach an average height of 40 and 80 meters.

This must be the worlds most beautiful waterfalls - it certainly beats the Niagara falls thousands times!!! (which we saw the month before Iguazu)

Declared World Heritage in 1984, Iguazú National Park covers 67.000 hectares of tropical rain forest.

» Is It Worth Closing Your Comments After Some Time?  ...  Last Reply: 9 months ago by Kamigoroshi.

I think that one should avoid closing the comments as long as possible.

Sure, if you get very much spam on old posts so that it's very difficult for you, then you don't have a choice.

Thankfully I don't get much spam (or possible spam) since I installed the Bad Behavior plugin. To have both Akismet and BB is awesome protection.

Please do not even thinking of getting a child if the other part isn't ready. Do not force your will upon him.

I've seen it so many times and every time it has gone wrong, resulting in a divorce, because the man is feeling like an outsider.

In a matter like this one can't be selfish, we have to think about the CHILD's best and that is to have two parents.

Thanks RightOn :-)

Too blue hah? Then you should have seen my other similar one I had before that, also a ship on the ocean, but in a verrrrry red-orange sunset! I'm sure you would have screamed too red.... *giggles*

I'll change between those two from now and then, to get some change.

I'm aware of that it's not what everyone else would want, but it really suits me.

...and we can't all have the same taste, how would that look?

All bloggers having the same blog layout? *giggles*

Thanks for your nice words guys and gal :-)

The party was a blast, even though we still can notice that people haven't come back from the holidays quite yet.

One of the party participants actually fell asleep at the computer.... *giggles*

I totally agree with the others: the questions is if you want to reach outside your country, then you must consider to blog in English.

Sure, there are translator tools, but generally people are too lazy for that and some don't even know there is translation help to get.

And since I'm a blogger from a very small country like Sweden I simply have to blog in English if I want to reach out.

Especially when I'm now concentrating on the subject of traveling :-)

It's always risky to travel alone, since there always is a risk of getting ill too. How do you manage things then?

I'd never go alone myself. Though I seem to catch diseases easily.... *giggles*

I almost bought one a while ago, but I thought it were a bit too expensive for not delivering a more fancy design. Touch screen would probably have made me to buy it.

Now, I'm waiting for something else to come out....

» 9rules in Weblog Awards 2007  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by Nils.

So, the Weblog Awards is over for this year. Ah, it was fun as long as it were going!

I really thought that Kami would win there, but no... However, that was very well done in that majestic fight Kami :-)

And all of you: congratulations for doing so good and be proud over the fact that you were finalists, it's an honor in itself.

Though there is something that made me very surprised.

How come that 9rules Network only got 178 votes? We're many members here, surely one could have expected the members to vote for our community?

Consider these facts:

I got 112 votes myself, without doing any campaign other than putting up the voting button in the end of my posts during the week. Not much more than that.

9rules got 178 votes. That's wayyyyyy to few votes for a community like this.

Where were everybody?

Even if boycotting the competition for some reason, one still should be loyal to 9rules and vote to lift forward the community in some highlight - and therefor also ourselves.

See the results here:

Another bonus with this is that it may lead new visitors to the site, even though we don't win :-)

It's a very low cost marketing....
