I'd definitely suggest using Yahoo. From the ones that I've seen, I've liked Yahoo's the best.

» My Favorite Bernie Mac Clip  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by Scrivs.

That is definitely the best Bernie Mac clip. Seems like a lot of people didn't know who he was until Kings of Comedy, which was awesome, but not his best. He's been in tons of movies and whatnot, and was one of the best comedians ever. He will be missed.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

It's nice to see that we (the US) took a gold medal already.....in fencing, which I still have no idea how that works.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

I must say the opening ceremony was beautiful. The amount of people involved was unbelievable.

Agreed. I was pretty impressed too.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

Here you go Scrivs. That should be a start.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

Is rhythmic gymnastics the ribbon dancer stuff?

Yes it is.

Scrivs, I definitely don't like the new scoring system at all.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

JPhill you gotta show us some pics of you in gym tights.

How did I know that you would be the one to say something about that? And, no, my pics are tucked away lol.

» The Olympic Sports You Will Watch  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by liza.

I'll definitely be watching gymnastics, since I was a gymnast in high school. And probably track and field. The diving competitions are usually pretty cool too.

» Music Trivia Streamcast today at 5pm EST  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by Scrivs.

Yeah we found out that Scrivs is pretty heartless. So disappointing. And Mike really loves his dog.

» Let Us Discuss Race  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by dubsar.

I don't really let my race hold me back, but there are definitely situations where race comes to mind. Like RightOn, I treat people the same way they treat me. I don't really get offended easily unless someone is just being extremely ignorant.

» The Dark Knight Thread  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by estarla.

I loved this movie and how dark it was. Joker hands down made the movie for me. His character was amazing. I'd highly recommend seeing this on an IMAX if you get the chance.

» The Dark Knight Thread  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by estarla.

I definitely plan on seeing it, hopefully on the IMAX. I'm not even a big Batman fan, but I'm very excited to check this out.

» Brett Favre: Packers should let me play elsewhere  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by liza.

I've always been a Farve fan too, but I think he needs to just stay retired. I can't see him playing on another team at all, and getting used to a different system on another team could take some time to adjust to, which Brett doesn't really have a lot of since he's not exactly young.

» Blu-Ray On Xbox? No Way  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by publicenergy.

Tyme, to add to your point, even people who don't even know what Blu-Ray is and still buy the PS3, eventually find out what Blu-Ray is and spread the word to their friends. So even though they aren't really tech savvy, hi-def video isn't a hard concept to pick up.

» Blu-Ray On Xbox? No Way  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by publicenergy.

You've gotta realize talking here that we're a very different market from the mainstream.

I'd say yes and no. I would imagine that a good chunk of people buying PS3's would know and possibly care about the high res disc format if they're spending that much money on a console.

» WordPress 2.6 Available  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by JoeLencioni.

I have a few sites to upgrade myself, but I agree about the super quiet launch. I really like the feature they added for quick posting (with bookmarklets) like Tumblr. Now I wish I could get all my data from Tumblr and move to WP...

» iTunes 7.7 Is Live, Browse The App Store  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by publicenergy.

Has anyone gotten the Facebook app to work? Twitterific is pretty solid, as well as the eBay app.

» iTunes 7.7 Is Live, Browse The App Store  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by publicenergy.

I spent some time browsing the App Store this morning, and scooped up a few apps already, just the free ones for now though. Very much looking forward to trying these out this weekend though.

Have you used Loopt before? How do you like it?

» It's inevitable: soon we will all be gamers  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by Scrivs.

The Wii definitely helps drive this point home. I never thought I'd see the day that both my mom and girlfriend enjoy playing a video game, but the Wii made that possible.

» 4th of July Plans  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by Tyme.

I plan on doing a lot of relaxing. The past three weekends I've been out of town and need a weekend to relax. A few BBQ's and golf is definitely on the agenda, so it should be good times.

» Most state workers in Utah shifting to 4-day week  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by BIGGER.

I was talking with a guy today who was interested in doing that with his company, and he mentioned that his workers would come back on Mondays a lot more refreshed from having 3-day weekends. I would imagine that could spawn more productivity and a happier environment to work in.

And his example was four 10-hour days.

» California to Legalize Weed for Everyone  ...  Last Reply: 2 months ago by RightOn.

I think if people abused it then they'd just end up stoned and at their house lounging around all day, all the while paying through the nose to do so.

I very much agree here. In my opinion, heavy potheads are way more harmless than heavy alcoholics.

Then again less and less rappers are rapping about it so maybe that is a sign of the times.

I just don't think it's "new" anymore. In the early-mid 90's, rap still was fairly new so it was a little "cooler" to talk about. Now it seems like a standard so there's not much else to talk about.

» Gay runs 100 in windy 9.68 to make US Olympic team  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by JPhill.

That is crazy fast. I look forward to seeing how he does in the Olympics.

» Apple pays their engineers significantly less  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by Scrivs.

To one extent I agree that people should be paid what they're worth, but on the other end, if the employees aren't demanding more money and making an issue of it (and leaving because if it), then why pay them more. They're obviously happy at their salaries, so why should Apple say "Let's pay them more." Yes it would be awesome if they did do that, but I can see why they aren't.

» MySpace new design launched  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by alexsuraci.

I cancelled my MySpace account a while ago, but looking at the homepage, definitely looks pretty clean. I like it, and like Mike, the main nav looks a TON better.

» What are your favourite web apps/services?  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by dubsar.

For me I'd say Flickr, and Twitter (the service). I like Gmail quite a bit, but I use mail.app for my email, so it's more of for the service.

I differ from Tyme in the sense that I think it would suck if those services dropped off. I've added lots of pics to Flickr, and invested a lot into my network of people I communicate with through Twitter.

» Fantasy Football '08  ...  Last Reply: 1 month ago by peroty.

I think we should definitely have another 9r league, and I'd be game to play again. But let's just forget about last years rankings....those aren't important anymore :)

» Playing with Tiger must suck  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by JPhill.

I never thought I'd say this, even being a golfer, but that was the most excited golf I've ever watched.

» Why albums used to matter  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by JPhill.

It was nice when the package was well done and the artwork was nice - I appreciated it - but it was a secondary consideration after the music.

Valid point, it's definitely about the music first. I've spent hours trying to find album artwork for my iTunes library though, since I normally have it open in cover flow mode and still like looking at album/cd covers for the art.

» Why albums used to matter  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by JPhill.

I was a dj when I was in college, and I loved going to the record store. I lived a couple blocks away from one and used to go there on a weekly bases going through albums, looking for new music, and burning a lot of cash. It was awesome, so I can totally understand where that guy is coming from. Now I don't have time to dj anymore and no longer have the equipment, so I obviously don't buy LP's anymore. But I miss the record buying experience quite a bit.

» iPhone 3G: July 11th...whaaaaaaa?  ...  Last Reply: 4 months ago by Tyme.

it was almost a given it would have 3G

Yeah I definitely agree. I'm assuming he wanted to be the one to make it "official".

» iPhone 3G: July 11th...whaaaaaaa?  ...  Last Reply: 4 months ago by Tyme.

I think the delay might have to do with the FCC. It obviously has to go through the FCC before being sold, and they might have just done that today. I imagine that if they would have put it through the FCC earlier, people/companies would have found out and spoiled the surprise.

» WWDC 2008 Decaflon Superstream 6/9/08 @1pm Eastern  ...  Last Reply: 4 months ago by Scrivs.

I'm definitely in. And if that phone sells for $200 and goes on sale today, I'm leaving on the spot. That's a dream price.....well, next to free.

» Seriously F*d Up  ...  Last Reply: 3 months ago by Scrivs.

I would think a phone call would be more personable. And the fact that you called hella times (even the day before) should say to her that something is up and that you need to talk to her. I think it's pretty immature for her to write you off like that without even getting your story first. You have nothing to feel bad about.

» How pissed would you be?  ...  Last Reply: 4 months ago by karmatosed.

That's an unfortunate situation, and if I were in it, I would have tried to kill that damn dog. In terms of it being a pit bull, I don't buy all that crap about them being evil dogs. It's all about the owners and how they are raised, just like kids. I've had two different pit bulls, one of them being the nicest dog I've ever been around. Never had problems with any of them though.

Like any dog, they just need to be trained. You can't just bring them home and expect them to be angels. So it annoys me when people blame things on the pit bulls and not the owners who fail to train them right.

» You want $1.3 Billion? Actually no sir, I don't.  ...  Last Reply: 4 months ago by shadowsun7.

That's nuts. I would have sold the hell out Glam for that much. I find it hard to believe that they are worth that much though.
