» What is Your Favorite Song?  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by avuee.

Wow...so hard. I was just going through my music collection yesterday. I am going to have to go with I Will by The Beatles. It's an absolutely brilliant, yet simple, song.

Yea, it's definitely not the best thing. With my ex, we still have feelings for each other, or I still have feelings for her. It's a hard call really, and one that shouldn't be taken lightly. I kind of regret still having a sexual relationship with her just for the pure fact that it makes moving on so much harder.

But...eh...

Oh I so can't get enough of this show. I absolutely love Grease and I've see it on broadway, love the movies, have the soundtrack...yea ok I'll stop now.

This is one of the only shows that everyone in my family can all agree on, so we watch it together. I'll totally be checking out the new broadway show when they pick the new Danny and Sandy.

Yea, I've totally had sex with my ex. Probably not the best idea right after you've broken up and you're trying to get over them, but still fun none-the-less.

» Hilary Clinton announces bid for Presidency  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by RightOn.

Well, right now it seems that Obama and Clinton are going to split the vote going into the primaries. On top of that, a lot of people don't like Clinton and I'm not sure why. But I live in New York and she's one of my Senators, and I like her.

I was hoping that Obama and Clinton would team up. It's going to be an interesting race now.

» Do You Kiss on the First Date?  ...  Last Reply: 8 months ago by Jessy1002.

Generally I don't kiss on the first date. I mean, it's supposed to be laid back. I don't want to have to worry about anything like that. There have been times where I have kissed on the first date, but not often.

» How much do you sleep?  ...  Last Reply: 1 year ago by Causalien.

For as long as I remember, I've only ever gotten about 2-3 hours of sleep a night. The only time I ever get more is when I'm sick and then I'll get about 10+ hours of sleep.

Alvinz: Yes, Order of the Pheonix is the one where Harry gets his first kiss. w0t!

Oli: Yea, the movies do cut out a lot of things from the book, but I think they've (directors, screenwriters, etc.) have done an okay job. I would love to have seen some of the books (especially the last one) broken into 2 movies. There were a lot of things left out that I think shouldn't have, but in the end it was still a great movie. I do prefer the books, however.

My ex and I sat down and watched the series and the movie in a weekend. I totally missed it when Firefly was on tv, but from what my ex told me, Fox or whoever ran it, really messed it up.

Firefly is one of, and will always remain, my favorite TV shows and Serenity is definitely one of my favorite movies. They should make another movie.

That is a great idea, for it to have it's own domain. I'm not worried about other things taking away from this, I support both ONE and (RED) also. It's not about how many people participate, it's just that it gets out there. I'm happy you think it's a good idea.

Blog for Darfur

Politics Community — Posted: Dec. 18, 2006  ...   Last By: jess @ 1 year ago

w00t! First note I started. On to why I'm doing this...

I'm not saying that everyone should be socially conscious or should care about these types of things but I'm the type of person that has to do something.

In Durfur, since 2003, more than 400,000 people have been brutally murdered, 2 million people have been forced from their homes, and 3.5 million people completely rely on international aid workers. It has been called, and I believe it is, the first genocide of this century.

I'm not saying you should want to go there and help out or even write about it or talk about it, but I think people should be at least aware of things like this. So I declared (proclaimed for my own benefit if no one else's) January 4th, 2007 Blog for Darfur day.

If you would like to participate then that would be awesome. I posted about it onmy blog, and it would be cool if you could post a comment there if you would like to participate.

So, besides that...what do you all think about the situation in Darfur?

I watched the trailer a gazillion times. I cannot wait for the movie or book 7. Speaking of Harry Potter, ABC Family is showing the first three films next weekend starting on Friday. On Sunday, they are showing the extended version of Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, to be followed by exclusive behind the scenes of Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix.

Well, we used to have Thanksgiving at my one grandparents house then we'd go over to my other grandparents house and have another meal. But, when my grandma died a few years ago, we stopped having Tday with that side of the family. Now my dad's side of the family comes over to our house and my mom cook's us all the good stuff.

I do. I found mine out when I donated blood to the American Red Cross in High School. It's very important to know your blood type for medical reasons, but it shouldn't take long to test for it even if you don't know it and it's an emergency.

@seanrox: well technically I'm a female but only physically and biologically. I'm FTM (female to male) transgender, so while I have all the female hormones, I don't personally consider myself a female. I consider myself male.

@Mike: Big Fish is an awesome movie and that made me cry as well.

» 80's Cartoons  ...  Last Reply: 7 months ago by Scrivs.

I'm a huge fan of 80's cartoons. I watched a lot of them but my favorites by far were He Man, Thundercats, Transformers, Care Bears, Chip and Dale, Danger Mouse, Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Ghostbusters, GI Joe, Inspector Gadget, The Jetsons, Pound Puppies, Smurfs, Space Ghost, Super Mario Bros. (while it lasted), and Voltron. I watched a lot of tv when I was a kid...and I'm probably forgetting some too.

I try to avoid music like this. It seems that music is in a huge funk right now, and while there's still some great stuff coming out (like Damien Rice), most of the stuff popping out is crap. Where's the originality? That's what I would like to know.

I have well over 3000 CD's. I lost count after 3000. This includes ones I've bought and ones I've burned. I have around 200 LP's. And right now I only have around 200 songs on my computer. I just moved back though so give me another month and I'll have a couple thousand again.

» What Movie(s) Made You Cry?  ...  Last Reply: 9 months ago by seopher.

Well, I'm a sucker for those crappy romantic movies, so I'm gonna fess up and say The Notebook made me cry, as well as A Walk to Remember. But I pretty much cry at everything that's sad. I cried when I watched Bambi too.

I was never allowed to go to the arcade as a kid...my parents thought I might start shooting up heroin or something...so I was *stuck* with Atari and Nintendo. Out of those my favorites are Pong, Asteroids, Super Mario Bros. 1 + 3, Contra, Knock Out, Excite Bike, Punch Out, The Boy and his Blob or something like that, and Paper Boy. Oh, and Tetris. And everyone loves Pac-Man :-)

It was a great show and it did bring forth some interesting views. What I would like to know is why we really invaded Iraq? I mean, we obviously didn't go to Iraq for WMD's and we didn't go for oil. We only partly went for the betterment of the Iraqi people, because after all, if we went for them then things wouldn't be like they are now. I, like many of the people on that show, want to know why we're being kept in the dark. I'm tired of the Bush administrations lack of openness with the American People. I would feel a bit better about the Bush administration if they took some responsibility and accountability for the crap that is now known as the Iraq War.
