Yes. I was an extra in a courtroom scene. Took a lot of hard work, but I wormed my way in! I should be highly visible.

I was just getting ready to post this... terrible news. At least I got to be in one of his last movies (Dark Knight :) )
I grew up on watching Sesame Street.
I like to try and get my daughter to watch Sesame Street. She used to when she was around 1. Now that she's around 3 she's more interested in cartoons.
Mike: you mean the NFC Championship exclusive to NFL Network? Holy crap that would suck!
My prediction: Bears get a wild card and destroy the Packers in the NFC Championship... an upset to end all upsets.
That is less of a prediction and more of a dream come true of course.
I'm assuming they're distributing a set number of codes per hour or half hour so as not to crash their servers... I ordered my copy late last night so I'm sure I'll have to wait until later today... curse my procrastination!
Downloading already?
Hmm... I still haven't received my code.
Sounds good... I use the sub-par instant mix while at work... just had a cup today.
Definitely does not compare to the home made brew, but it does the job none-the-less.
What's your favorite new Radiohead song?
Yea... the download isn't quite available yet, but when you get it, post your favorite song here... and your first impressions.
Also, what did you pay for the album? I threw down $10 usd.
Go Radiohead!!
I gave them $10 (usd)
My review of the 30 Days of Night graphic novel. Let's just say I did NOT enjoy it.
"Boring"?
heh, just kidding :)
how about:
32
that is, 3 squared. The fact that the 2 isn't mini and in the upper corner make it look like the number thirty two, which will BLOW PEOPLE'S MINDS.
note: i have been drinking tonight.
Peroty Thanks for the heads up... guess I'm not the only one that got blasted with this hilarious email! :)
Just got this spam email from "Waseem Akhtar Hacker":
"Hello my friend!
I am ready to kill myself and eat my dog, if medicine prices here (http://problemdid.hk) are bad.
Look, the site and call me 1-800 if its wrong..
My dog and I are still alive :)"
Indeed I am. I'm bringing my camera and hope to get a pic with him... will be the first photo of me on the internet... gasp!
Robert Kirkman will be appearing in Graham Cracker Comics downtown Chicago loop location on May 5th to sign autographs and promote his new comic.
this is the author of Walking Dead, Invincible, Marvel Zombies, Ultimate X-Men and a few others. I'll be there, anyone else going?
Ok some clarification because this discussion is going... well, south.
First, RightOn: I'm not saying that ALL southerners or ALL christians do a good job lumping themselves together with Nazi etc. Please go back and read what my comment was and what it replied to. At THIS festival THESE particular types of people did a fine job bringing those various things to one spot to celebrate a heritage they can't even pronounce... (long I sound for Italian, rather than short I sound).
I lived in the South for 9 years. I know what it's like there... and in that town in-particular. You could count the black population on two hands in that town. The festival is EXTREMELY racist. I've never seen a black person even attend it. I have family and friends in the South. I don't consider them rednecks, which is the culture I was poking fun of to begin with.
SmileyFreak1981: I really don't give a crap what they do in Texas. Read my above comments. I was talking about a small town I used to live in that is incredibly racist. Statues of black servants holding lanterns or fishing out in their front yard are common... there's even a hamburger restaurant that won't sell food to black people... and they ABSOLUTELY DO sell KKK memorabilia there at antique shops. I've had to walk out of several antique stores because of it.
As far as your reasons for flying a flag that represents a system of belief that honors human oppression and the lowering of blacks to something that is less than human... well why don't you run those reasons past some black people? See how they feel about it? I have. Nearly all of my black friends are highly disturbed when they see it.
To sum up: this post was never an attack on Southerners or Christians. This post wasn't even an attack on Rednecks. I just wanted to show off a few funny photos and tell you about a crappy little redneck festival in a crappy little redneck town where i wasted too many years of my life.
I didn't pay parking tickets and then they booted my car and doubled all of them... ended up paying $900 to keep from going to court / lose my car. FUN!!
RightOn: absolutely! Actually I'm pretty happy I spelled it wrong... proves I don't drink it ;)
Shadeofgray:
Actually, I didn't lump Christians, Nazi's and Southerners in to one group... they managed to do that themselves, i'm merely pointing it out.
Hitlerian reference: maybe you don't remember that Hitler had various classifications for human nationalities based on the structure of their face. The Bigga Nose contest is obviously based on a stereotype. Hitler had his doctors measure people's faces and would lump them in to a category such as Jewish, Black etc.
Christian reference: it's not my fault those happened to be church puppets. Maybe you should be questioning why the Church feels that gigantic creepy puppets have anything to do with the Bible. I took a funny picture and told the story of where it came from. Nothing derogatory said about "christians".
Southerners: actually i never once slammed Southerners. I've been making fun of rednecks. Go to one of these festivals and I challenge you to claim this thread was ignorant... it's dead on my friend. You're talking about a culture that sells KKK memorabilia in their antique shops, proudly flies the confederate flag, and (at this very festival) sells t-shirts with that same flag printed on the front along with the words "It's a white thing".
Sorry, but if anyone is a part of that culture they deserve to be made fun of.
There's no arguing with points 1 - 3... but you forgot one vital point on #4... this person obviously was dolled up for a night out on the town and thus washed the truck upon arrival. Only the best for Herrin Fest!
I really like Neon Bible quite a bit. Actually it's my first Arcade Fire album and it's what made me love them. There are a couple songs on there that are just amazing. I'm also a big fan of large bands that feature more than one singer. You should listen to a few samples on itunes and see what you think.
Good point... family honor and bush beer.
That was just amazing!
That "Bigga Nose Contest" is real mind you... they actually measure contestant's noses and the biggest gets a prize.
The nose measuring isn't an isolated incident. The winner is cheered by more than drunken white trash... he / she is also featured in newspapers and on TV.
I'm not sure what the prize is, but is it really worth the price of your dignity?
I finally got around to buying this album this morning. Since then I have listened to it about 10 times. It's excellent. Anyone else an Arcade Fire fan?
Just in case there's any doubt as to my redneck comments, these were taken at the same festival:

Throw in some blatant Hitlerian racism and you've got an event for the whole family:
nsfw? wow... where do you guys work?

I snapped this photo at Herrin Festa Italiana 2005 (a redneck festival where rednecks celebrate their Italian "heritage" by getting drunk and flying confederate flags).
This was the Parade... a local church had guys working these giant puppets... great image for the kids!
I'm gonna give this a try... sounds like fun.
Ok... just to make it perfectly clear again:
she wasn't actually drinking... it was an empty bottle at i set next to her and she tried to get to... so it made a funny photo.
I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that go to court, but it wouldn't go anywhere beyond that.
Being that the bottle was empty that would be funny court case.

That was when she was 1 month old... she has since switched to better brands.
The "special feature" is cool... makes me wish i had bought the CD rather than from iTunes... oh well.
This is an amazing album. The leaked songs were great, and the unleaked songs are even greater. I love Zero Sum and the whole message of the CD.
Anyone else in to this?
