Nothing does as much for the ego as reading a note like this and realizing that you are stupidest one in the metaphorical room.

I only speak English with anything near fluency. I have studied French, but I can barely even read it now.

Well, for me, it depends on who you ask:

Last.fm says its First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes (57 times).
My iTunes says its Une Fille de L'est by Patricia Kaas (37 times).

As you can probably guess, the Last.fm data goes back farther than the iTunes data.

I have Office 2003 (way too broke/cheap to buy 2007) and when I need something I use it. I have to say that unless I'm actually writing for something that will be sent to someone else, I tend to get by with Notepad (hooray for basic-applications-built-into- Windows-that-are-good-enough-that-you-don't-bother-to -replace-them!).

@Scrivs
Absolutely they could, but they'd have to know something about setting up websites in order to do that, as well as find ways to drive traffic, etc. It looks like most of the girls on the site probably wouldn't have the first clue of where to start (or who to hire) to get themselves a website.

» Acronym Misuse: CSS In Your HTML Doc  ...  Last Reply: 11 months ago by Oli.

@Oli
You don't really program CSS or HTML, they're just mark-up languages. That is: they merely explain to a browser how the text should appear.

External CSS sheets usually do end with the .css extension, but you can put a stylesheet within an HTML file rather than calling the remote sheet within the CSS file.

So, JeffJ, I guess it really depends on whether they're really putting CSS into the HTML file (something I think it silly but certainly can be done) or if they're just separately adding style elements to HTML, in which case they wouldn't really be adding CSS. I agree that external files are both easier to use and more convenient to change, but that doesn't stop people from putting CSS in HTML files. I hope I answered your question somewhere in there.

This looks like it could be really good. Jeff Garlin is a consistently funny man, Silverman's good for a laugh, and Amy Sedaris is great too. I really hope this is good.

Twenty-one years, seven months, and 19 days. I think (that's what Excel said.)

I seem to be pretty average for the age range here. I'm surprised many people are younger than me.

I've gotten down to about once a day M-F. But that's not because I write M-F, I've instead established a M-F pattern with specific topics for a given day, and so regardless of when I write, at least one thing will usually appear M-F. The system really works for me.
