I need to use an open source shopping cart and wondered which cart is your weapon of choice at the moment? I was thinking of Zen Cart.
Damn there goes my commission lol
Had my pass and some more info through the post today and have to admit is does look biased towards B2B rather than a Geeks jolly. Will give it some thought next week.
Just a thought thought with my 'tree hugging' hat on... shouldn't an expo called 'Internet World' issue it's visitor passes via email and allow the visitor to print them off if needed rather than paper post?
Maybe I should get comission! lol.
No never been before. Not sure how useful it will be networking-wise but am going to try and mix it a bit and see who I hook up with. Some of the seminars look interesting.
Anyone going along to Internet World 2008 @ Earls Court the week after next?
Evening all!
Been asked by a client to source a standards complient Property Sales app for integration into their new web site. Anyone know of any goodies?
Nice one Mike, that pretty much sums it up!
Had a conversation with a potential client today who was complaining about his last web designer and saying he was a "total geek". So that got me wondering (doesn't take much!) How do web designers, coders etc feel about the term 'Geek'?
Personally I haven't got a problem with it but it seems to me that when a Geek calls another Geek... a Geek (still with me?) it's OK. But when a client uses the term it's usually not so complementary.
What do you think? Love it, hate it or have better things to do with your time?
My proudest moment so far was last week when i finally made the decision to resign and start my own web design company (hmmm early mid life crisis!)

Well this time around its just a small scale thing with about 60 items but I was thinking of something scaleable in PHP.
Funnily enough I was looking at Magento earlier and it looks very interesting. Though maybe more suited to large stores perhaps?
