I've been using the services of IXWebhosting as my webhost.

Off late there has been a lot of downtime coupled with mailserver issues. Besides, the customer service is getting bad to worse by the day. A few of my contacts have recommended NetworkRedux.

I need a friendly and reliable web host who'll help me migrate my websites and all my emails to a new reliable web host. Are any 9rulers currently using NetworkRedux's services? Look forward to receiving some feedback.

Any other alternative reliable and friendly webhost you'd reccomend?

Where can i find great [visually stunning] desktop backgrounds [wallpapers] for my Macbook?

Im running two start ups as of now, one of which is here. We're a manpower agency - a recruitment consulting firm in India. Started operations in July 2007.

I've got a team of 7 people working now. Would like to know ways and means of motivating my team. We're a start up and cannot afford the luxuries of large scale organizations. However, till date we've been going out on picnics, watching movie premieres, hogging on some great food, the works.

Whats beyond all this other than attractive remuneration and bonuses?

I've been using a Macbook [Black - 13 inches]. I feel the need for a larger display. 13 inches is kinda small for multiple excel sheets and photoshop layouts.

I was having a look at some monitors available in the market that I could plug my macbook to. The obvious option would be to buy a monitor from Apple, however a simple 20 inch apple monitor in India is costing me US $875.

If I look at a similar Non Apple Display though, its much much lesser. For example a Dell 22 inch monitor which is much bigger than the Apple display would cost me USD 390 which is less than 50% of the cost that I'd be paying if I bought an Apple Display.

What do the 9rules suggest? Should I go in for an Apple Display? Is there something extra ordinary in it that justifies that magnanimous price?

Or should I go in for a Dell kinda display which economically makes sense? Dell also has a decent product line by the way. And what size of display should I go in for? 19 inches? 20 inches? 22 inches? 24?

A friend of mine is building a jewelry website. Had a few questions:

1. How many of us shop jewelry online? If yes, which sites are the most trusted and visited ones?
2. Do people use the "comparison" / "compare jewelry" feature on jewelry websites while they're shopping? Is it really effective?

Google recently successfully acquired DoubleClick after receiving an approval from the European Union. As part of the DoubleClick deal, Google now owns SEO service provider Performics.

DoubleClick’s Performics offers search engine services that include “natural search solutions” such as indexation, content optimization and link building.

Performics has been offering both SEO & SEM services for quite a while now. However, with Google's acquisition, Google now via Performics is offering SEO services. Does this imply that Google is now charging internet users to use their services via Performics to get a boost in their search ranking? Isn't that a huge conflict of interest?

I was wondering what would be the right age to get married? Im 24 and live in India. Folks at home been after my back to tie the knot. Most of my friends got married at the age of 22 - 23.

Primarily there are two schools of thought in India. The first one says, you get married early - as early as 21 - 23 and by the time you're 50, you'll have a kid who'll probably be 24ish taking care of himself. You'll have a good retired and social life.

On the flip side, people tend to argue that the right age to get married would be somewhere between 28 to 30. Thats when you're mature, blah, blah, blah.

Now I know that getting married will also have to do with the kind of social life a person enjoys, his financial situation, the works. However, let me put this up:

Married people: What age did you guys get married? Do you think it was the right time?

Unmarried folks: When do you think would be an ideal time to get married?
