In school (pre-school, kindergarten, elementary school, high school, college... etc) what was your favorite subject? Why was this course your favorite? On the flip side, what subject did you totally stink in?

Music, but ensemble rehearsal classes probably don't count -- it's not really "class".
Anymore the subject can be anything as long as the teacher is bright. My favorite classes at university so far have been far reaching, and are always a direct result of a talented, intelligent professor. This semester = theory of rhetoric. Obviously he's a talented speaker.
But god I hate math. The idea is so aesthetically appealing but jesus christ kill me. Geometry was bliss but its been downhill ever since.

I liked math and physics in my younger years, but never has a subject clicked more with me than Economics. During Micro, I remember reading a book that was extra reading. Half way through the book, everything fell into place like a switch flipped in my brain. I have never had that "ah ha" moment with any other subject.

I rocked at math, but was never a fan of it. Love Chemistry as well for some reason.

I loved Science!
That was my favorite class. =)
I failed Chemistry. Well, I got a D - and the only reason I got a D - was because I think my teacher felt sorry for me. If he had given me a F, I would't have graduated. LOL
Thank you Mr. Pierce. And I'm sorry for being a terror in your class. [he kicked me out so many times. LOL]

History is my favorite subject (I'm majoring in it in college right now, actually).
Most hated subject: math.

History well taught rocks. I went that direction in college. History taught badly is perhaps the most tedious of subjects.
I enjoyed English when we read books and discussed them. All the other English stuff, proper grammar, punctuation, etc., not so much.

I always like writing classes, simply because I was alot better at writing papers than I was at taking exams. I also had some college classes that were about internet culture, and those were priceless!
I sucked at math. I also agree with Griffin that history is really interesting if taught right. I've had both ends of the spectrum.

I didn't have a favorite subject.
I had great teachers that make learning their subjects fascinating.
I never enjoyed history classes until I had a good history teacher... helped make the past history real and alive for me.
I like science but I don't like learning it at school. Most of my science teachers were off the wall, a little crazy. I get a kick out of oddball teachers and I pay more attention because I want see what they'll do or say next. Probably why I've taken so many science classes.
My philosophy and logic teachers were always great. They're also some odd ones. :)
Most of my math teachers were incredibly boring. I did have a great geometry teacher in high school, though. He was very difficult, very intelligent, and once a week, he was very easy to get off the subject of mathematics. He could rant about anything. He was one of the first teachers I had that would talk WITH students, not AT us.

My fave subject was "Social Anthropology". It also gave me one of my favorite quotes:
"What is the space race but a gigantic potlatch on a global scale" (or something close to that).

Obviously ART Class was on the top list. I also really like that Lunch class, that was the best, they did a great job at teaching me how to eat.

Biology was my favourite followed by maths. Those two just because they had the best teachers and they made me actually like learning about it.
We had good topical discussions and went a long way outside of the syllabus exploring so many different things.

World history and, when I had a good reacher for it, science. I loved art and writing, but the majority of my art teachers were void of talent (and usually a cheerleading coach!); classical literature almost made me hate the written word (bored me to death).
I did all right in math, but I'm no whiz at it. Once I get past basics, I suck. Oddly enough, I'm great at accounting. :P Yay, for making no sense!

Molecular Cell Biology.
It was my first class in a foreign country and it was given by two of the most amusing lecturers I know to date. That and the fact there is something about the looking at things at its most basic parts that makes you appreciate it on a larger whole.

I always liked art because I had to think in a different way than the rest of my classes. If that makes sense.
I like biology too, but that was because I had an awesome professor.
