The Sandbox Designs Competition is being held at www.sndbx.org and administered by Scott of www.plaintxt.org with initial cash prizes totalling US$1000. The competition centers around purely CSS-based design on an existing XHTML template, specifically for Wordpress-powered sites.
Submission Deadline: Monday, August 6, 2007
Submissions Online: Thursday, August 2, 2007
Winners Announced: Monday, August 6, 2007
Prizes Awarded: Wednesday, August 8, 2007
* All Entries must be GPL licensed (more rules)
* First prize at least US$500 (more depending on sponsors)
* Entrants may have a bio posted
* Designs will be posted for public viewing after the competition closes

I happen to like it. I couldn't help but notice the site scrolls really slowly...what's that all about?

scott's working on trimming some of the JS and adding caching. should start running more smoothly.
