Yesterday I went to fill up and saw that gas had jumped to $3.55 (high grade) $3.22 (low grade) per gal.
What are you paying to fill up?

It's about $4/gallon here. Just to put it in perspective, the average monthly income for a family is less than $500/month.

$3.46 per gallon for 91 octane, which is what my car requires. That's also a "reasonable" price for my area.

Now I could chirp in with the usual 'you want to try living in the UK' cry... it would quickly be followed by 'you guys don't have cars' or 'you don't need to go far in your cars'.... how about I don't start that ball rolling ;)

$9.38 equivalent since you ask not sure how but I'm pretty sure high petrol (gas is, well, a gas!!) prices are the Americans fault!

Hey, guys, do what the Commonwealth crew do and call it what it is: petrol. Then we can avoid this sort of confusion.
As for me, I don't pay shit. Public transport 4 lyfe.

Rich, then you gotta list what you're paying for your weekly (monthly?) Oyster card. :)

Two seventy something. I can't recall exactly what it was.... Where's my damn hydrogen fuel cell powered flying car! The industry is nearly eight years behind!

I don't own a car either (just listing the gas prices), and I pay about $7.75/month for public transportation and about $5.75/month for taxis.

I'm not lucky enough to live in London. I pay £3.20 a day for a roughly 6 mile round trip on the bus. The days I don't walk, that is.

It just recently went up to around $3.08 here in Maryland, varying anywhere from $2.90-3.20 depending on how close to DC you go.
Thankfully I carpool to work!

$3.09 last Thursday in Michigan. I'm sure it's gone up since then. I live in the sticks and don't drive by a gas station unless I need to fill up, so I don't know how much it is today.

$3.05 or some such. It was $3.00 a few days ago but I know it went up.
Sitting right by Gnorb, wishing that public transportation actually existed here. Stupid tiny arse town.

It's only up to a little over $3 here. But what's funny is my 16-year-old got her license last week, and now I get to hear her complaining about the price of gas!

Here in Canada we use litres, so I had to rely on a gas price converter to get this number (hopefully it was accurate):
Right now I'm paying $4.09 ($1.05 per litre), but that seems pretty low compared to this summer when it got up above $4.68 ($1.20 per litre). I'm definitely lucky that my car is pretty fuel efficient!

NZ$1.76 per litre
NZ$1.00 equals approx US$ 0.76
one litre equals 0.22 UK gallons.
Sorry but I give up

Jeeze, you can't get anything worse than 95 octane in the UK, with options of 98 or 101 ron fuel for a bit more money.

£1.06 a litre of diesel here. That's £4.01 a gallon. And that's $7.95.
But I do get 45-50mpg (combined) so it's not all bad.

I'm very lucky to be able to buy gas on the Army post, so I don't have to pay European prices for it. After living here, I never complain about what I pay in the US (or for the rationed gas on post or with my coupons from the Army at a station off post). I cringe when I see what the prices are off post, and I really hate it when I have to tank up at a European station when I'm out of my area and there's no stations that accept my coupons. :( My gas guzzler of a car would definitely hurt more, even as seldom as I drive it, if I had to pay European prices!
