Because I do!

I got them from Moo.com

Is it important for bloggers to have one? Tell me what you think

I'll let Mike tell you the story of the 9rules business card foray.

Is it important? No. Desirable? If you're trying to build a particular audience, then perhaps, since it allows you to personally target a particular market. (For example, if you have a blog about your town, then passing out cards may be a good idea to draw readers.) Of course, if you're treating your blog as a business, then the answer is a definite yes, if for no other reason than you'll likely talk about it to somoene and you'll likely want them to take you seriously. (As compared to the millions of bloggers they ignore because they DON'T take them seriously.)

Personally, I've considered getting cards, but haven't done so. Yet.

We thought that business cards were terribly important so before going to San Francisco on a business trip a couple years ago, we rushed and put together some cards with 4by6.com and they looked like shit. Wasn't really their fault, mainly mine since I had never designed business cards before and picked the wrong stock weight. I still have a huge box of them in my office, gathering dust.

I think I threw my box away (sorry Mike). I think we handed out 20 total out of hundreds/thousands.

Mike hold on to them they could be collectors items one day.

I printed a box of 100 cards before I came to the United States because I figured giving out "business" cards would be very much easier than grabbing a pen and a piece of paper each time I wanted to leave somebody my email or my address.

I agree completely with Gnorb -- get some printed if you target a specific audience.

I did not have my blog URL on my cards because I did not come to the US to promote my blog.

Mike... you should take a photo of one and show us :D :D

I used to have one back when I was actively pushing myself out there for freelance work. Haven't really needed one in about 5 years.
