Anyone else waiting with baited breath for this to start?
I'm not particularly waiting for anything to be release. I'm just curious what we're going to be seeing. :)

I'm not expecting much... I'm predicting a LOT of iPhone hype and not much else.
They've already bumped up a lot of their product line so they won't release a new laptop or desktop or anything... and they are pushing hard for the release of the iPhone (3 out of every 5 commercials on my TV seem to be for the iPhone!)
MAYBE we'll get the poop on more 10.5 stuff but I'm not expecting anything amazing.

Yeah, that's about what I'm expecting too. iPhone iPhone iPhone!
I stopped caring about it months ago.
I hope we're treated to some Leopard news since it got pushed for the phone.
Here's to hoping.

I think they need to have two levels of "iphone".
One for the current market and a lower priced model for the consumers who can't drop $500 for a damned PHONE.
Hell, I'll take an iPhone sans-ipod feature!

I think most of the announcements will have to do with leopards features that haven't been fully unveiled (new finder, unified interface?) and .mac/google integration

I don't think we'll be seeing a new finder or a unified GUI for a while... it's been how long and the UI is still going the opposite direction from unified?

An Anthropomorphized Brushed Metal Interface Theme Shows Up for the WWDC Preview Build of Mac OS X Leopard
I very much enjoyed John Gruber's write up on the UI change. Hopefully we'll see a change with Leopard and our Unified UI will become unified again.

I arranged to go out while this is on. I'm really annoyed now and trying to get out of it.
I feel like such a loser for saying that.

You know Rich, there's this cool new thing I've heard of called "The Internet" where content is produced.. then archived for viewing later. ;-)
The content won't change if you're not hear to see it "live." Go out! Have fun! If I weren't stuck at work, I'd be out doing something fun.

I really think and hope that they just stick to stuff that is relevant to the developers - it is their event!!!!

Oh Noes! Apple goes Microsoft!
Leopard shipping in October. Basic version, $129. Premium version, $129. Business version, $129, Enterprise version $129. Ultimate version, $129.
WTF... Why would I buy basic for the same price as ultimate? Wanna buy a Yugo for $350,000?

Unless I'm smoking something odd today there is something not right with that Safari 3 beta. I meet the requirements - says nowt about being intel machine anywhere ..... Yet it refuses to go on my system - oh bleeding joy.

Installed on the iBook clean as well. Going to run it through its paces for the rest of the day to see if I am convinced to make the switch.

I've not managed to crash it yet. And if this keeps up this will become my primary browser on the PC.
Just like I use Camino on the mac for its simplicity and speed, Safari will serve the same purpose.
With Firefox (of course) being used for its web dev extensions.

Installed fine on my iMac, but simply won't start. Is it supposed to crash immediately on launch because if it is, it's very good!
